As a huge dump of premium garden soil arrives and pours into a hefty hill near the Dry Pool Garden area, I can feel a tingle in my fingertips and right down into my toes. It’s the feeling of big change afoot, big leaps forward in the way only plantings allow for and suddenly the garden I have been dreaming up since we got here 18 months ago, since I’d learnt enough about creating gardens to be able to envision the next one I would build beyond Little Oak, even before I’d left it, is so close now I can almost touch it.
